Welcome from the Diocese of Masasi

Masasi is one of the sixteen Dioceses of the Anglican Church
of Tanzania. In this website you can learn a little of the life and
work of the Diocese in education, medical work and community development.
The Bishop, The Rt Revd Patrick Mwachiko, is supported by
priests working in forty-five parishes, the diocesan staff at Masasi,
medical workers in the three Dispensaries, teachers at Rondo Junior
Seminary, and staff at St Cyprian’s Theological College.
You can learn about the work of the Mothers’ Union and the sisters
of the Community of St Mary.
Supporters and benefactors in the UK and other places coordinate
their efforts through ‘Friends of Masasi’ a UK charity for
the support of the work of the Diocese.

The Diocese hopes that, by
its outreach to all the peoples of Southern Tanzania, it will fulfil
the command of the Lord Jesus Christ to preach the gospel to every
creature and, by its struggle against poverty, ignorance and
disease, will help to show the signs of the Kingdom of God in this
place. |
